Usher is done letting reluctant fans steal his shine onstage. After one awkward moment went viral, the R&B icon set the record straight at his next tour stop.

Usher is laying down the law when it comes to his steamy onstage dances. The 47-year-old singer-songwriter is currently co-headlining an R&B tour with Chris Brown that launched last month.

After a fan appeared visibly uneasy when he pulled her up during his Nashville show over the weekend, Usher had a message for anyone hoping to be serenaded to "Can U Handle It?" going forward.

"Before we get started, don't bring your [expletive] up here if you don't wanna be here," he told the crowd at his Birmingham, Alabama concert on Tuesday, July 28, according to a TikTok video circulating from the show.

"God don't like ugly. But most certainly doesn't feel too good about pretty privilege either!" he added.

The clip sparked a flurry of reactions online, with opinions split down the middle. "All of this because of that one rejection?" one viewer wondered.

"That's not the point bro, she didn't want you. These ladies all want breezy, go home already you're old," another shot back.

A third quipped, "I guess that rejection was tough for him," while another user chimed in, "Oh yeah, she hurt his feelings a bit lmaoo."

Not everyone was piling on, though. "He not wrong though. How [...] you gonna go up on stage at a Usher concert and not wanna perform. I totally get it," one supporter argued.

Another agreed, "No he's actually letting them know and I don't blame him. [...] If you are asked and that's not your vibe, then decline."

Usher's comments followed a viral clip from Saturday, July 25, showing the "You Don't Have to Call" singer bringing a woman up for a sultry moment on a bed set up onstage.

As he stood and leaned in close, she appeared to stiffen and lean away. Usher eventually backed off, turned to the crowd, and remarked, "I don't think she want to be on the stage," before waving for her to be escorted off.

The fan, later identified as Gabrielle Cheyenne, faced significant online backlash over her response. She later explained herself to TMZ, revealing she'd actually hoped to be pulled onstage by Brown, not Usher.

"I was approached first and upgraded to VIP. They don't give you any instructions on who, what, when, where, or how," she explained to the outlet. "They told me that it was a possibility of me going on stage, but they didn't confirm that until it was closer to time for me to go on stage."

"Of course, you're getting to go on stage, why would I decline that?" she continued. "Me, solely, I went to the concert for Chris Brown. It's nothing against Usher. I'm more of a Chris Brown fan than I am of Usher."

When pressed about an earlier social media post in which she wrote, "pretty privileges is something you [expletive] will never know about," Cheyenne clarified that the remark was directed at people from her hometown.

She admitted she would have turned down the moment entirely had she known it would be Usher, not Brown, calling her up.

"I would've said no. It was never my intention to rile all these people up and ruin the moment. Everything under the sun that they're saying," she said. "It's nothing against Usher [...]. But I can prefer one artist over the other."
