After a whirlwind year of press tours and awards season buzz, one of music's busiest stars finally found time to walk down the aisle. With only four months to plan, she and her groom pulled off a celebration that was equal parts nostalgic and glamorous.
Musical artist EJAE has married her fiancé, producer-turned-computer programmer Sam Kim. The pair tied the knot on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Seoul, South Korea, and their fairytale nuptials were chronicled and shared by Vogue on Monday, October 19.

EJAE and Sam exchanged vows at Stage 28, a venue with deep personal history for the bride. "My grandparents lived in the house at the venue when I was a little girl," EJAE told the outlet. "I spent much of my childhood exploring the garden and walking with my grandfather in the hills behind the house."
Years later, the house and its grounds were sold and reimagined as an event venue, giving the family a meaningful place to celebrate future weddings. Given its sentimental significance, EJAE's brother had also tied the knot at Stage 28.

For her big day, EJAE looked effortlessly elegant in a custom ivory tulle Danielle Frankel gown with a strapless bodice. The dress featured soft, sheer draping that wrapped asymmetrically across the bodice and hips before cascading into a full, pleated floor-length skirt.
She paired the gown with a long, sheer veil that streamed behind her in the breeze and wore her hair pulled back into a sleek updo. For her makeup, the star went with a dewy, natural look, finished with a rosy lip.
She rounded out the ensemble with a lush white bouquet featuring what appeared to be calla lilies and roses, accented with greenery and a trailing white ribbon.

The groom kept things classic in a sharp black double-breasted tuxedo with satin lapels, paired with a crisp white shirt and a black bow tie. A white floral boutonniere with a sprig of greenery adorned his lapel, and he completed the look with matching black trousers and polished black dress shoes.
The bridesmaids each wore unique olive green silk gowns, while the groomsmen coordinated in black tuxedos and bow ties. The festivities also included a paebaek ceremony and a welcome party at Congdu50, a Korean fusion restaurant.

EJAE and Sam first crossed paths in May 2017, when a mutual friend set them up for a songwriting session. "We worked on a couple of songs, but mostly, we just connected," EJAE recalled. "We both loved anime and the same kind of music."
The pair kept things strictly professional until a night out to watch Sam's roommate's band perform. "Later that night, [he] confessed his feelings," the singer said. "We've been together ever since."

Over the next eight years, the couple built a life side by side, settling in Brooklyn, New York, as their careers took shape. Sam made things official on June 1, 2025, with a proposal that came as a (partial) surprise.
"I had caught on about a week before," EJAE added. "Still, it was fun and memorable, and I cried."
Shortly after the engagement, the hit film "KPop Demon Hunters" was released, featuring EJAE as the lead singer behind the fictional girl group HUNTR/X and the soundtrack's hit songs. "Our lives changed completely," EJAE said.
The lengthy press tour and awards season that followed, however, meant wedding planning had to be put on hold.
"At first, we planned a November 2026 wedding in California, but ultimately after discussing location, we decided to hold it in Korea and moved the date up to October 2026. That left us about four months to plan everything," said the bride. "It was hectic and a little stressful, but it was real teamwork, and everything has fallen into place perfectly."
