Tyler Perry is looking back at his 2007 film "Why Did I Get Married?" The multi-hyphenate revealed his favorite line from the widely quoted comedy-drama while attending the premiere of the franchise's latest installment, "Why Did I Get Married Again?"

"'I'm going up this mountain to save my marriage,'" he said, referencing the moment when Jill Scott's character, Sheila, has to make a solo drive through a snowstorm to the mountain retreat where she, her husband, Mike, and three other couples plan to spend the week.

Sheila and Mike had originally boarded the same flight, but she was asked to leave the plane because of her weight and the airline's policy requiring her to buy a second seat. Instead of standing by his wife, Mike remained on board and spent the trip flirting with her single friend, Trina (Denise Boutte).

The original movie, which also starred Perry, Richard T. Jones, Janet Jackson, Michael Jai White, Sharon Leal, Tasha Smith and more, was followed by "Why Did I Get Married Too?" in 2010. The third film premiered on September 8 and arrived on Netflix the following day.

In the latest film, most of the original cast reunites for a wedding between two of their now-grown children. According to the official synopsis, the group realizes that "their children have grown up to be so much like them" and "that as much as things change, they also stay the same."

"They must reflect on the examples they've set and ask themselves that age-old question: why did they get married… again?" the synopsis continues.

Taraji P. Henson steps into the franchise as Roselyn, an influential businesswoman whose son, Wesley, is the groom. Armani Greer, Everett Osborne and Da'Vinchi also join the cast, playing the adult children of the original couples.

Speaking with People at the premiere, Perry shared that he loved watching the original stars welcome the fresh faces into the franchise.

"What I loved about it is how supportive and open everybody was to saying, 'Hey, here's what I know, here's what I went through, here's how we did it,' and they're sharing everything. That's what it's all about," he said.

Perry had earlier discussed the concept behind "Why Did I Get Married Again?" and why he chose to introduce a younger generation alongside the four original couples.

"Introducing this new generation of characters gave us an opportunity to give the kids an opportunity to shine and go through things and eventually realize they're not perfect and neither were their parents," the filmmaker said.

Bringing the group back together years down the line, he noted, meant the sequel "lent itself to realizing where we all are in life."

"I am most excited for audiences to see how these characters have matured and how their love for each other took them through some really hard times," Perry added. "It's a wonderful reminder of how people grow, change, mature and settle into what marriage is and not what we think it is when we're young."
