Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Enjoy Date Night at Canada Charity Event

The Duchess of Sussex swapped her usual mom-on-the-go looks for red-carpet glamour this weekend. Her Instagram recap offered fans a rare, unfiltered look at the couple's night out among friends.

Meghan Markle is giving fans a look inside her weekend date night with Prince Harry.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex turned out to support their longtime friend David Foster at his event marking 40 years of fundraising for the David Foster Foundation on Friday evening, August 7.

Meghan turned to Instagram on Saturday, August 8, to mark the occasion with a sweet selfie alongside her husband, the two of them beaming for the camera. She also shared a video of the pair greeting performers and other guests as they arrived at the event.

For the evening, Meghan exuded elegance in a Greta Constantine black one-shoulder gown featuring a draped, fitted bodice and a long train. She rounded out the look with a delicate bracelet and Princess Diana's diamond and sapphire earrings, her hair swept back into a sleek low bun.

Harry, standing beside her, opted for a black velvet tuxedo jacket with satin peak lapels, paired with a crisp white dress shirt and a black bow tie. He finished the ensemble with black tailored trousers and black patent leather dress shoes.

Meghan offered an additional glimpse into the couple's outing on her Instagram Stories. One clip, filmed from inside a car, captured a Canadian flag fluttering on a nearby pole.

She also shared a video of a standout dessert served at the Foster-backed fundraiser: a chocolate piano filled with purple frosting. Meghan and Harry's bond with the 76-year-old music producer stretches back years.

Other notable guests at the fundraiser included his wife, Katharine McPhee, along with Adam Levine and Josh Groban.

Meghan's choice to wear Princess Diana's diamond and sapphire earrings came just two weeks after she and Harry shared a rare photo of their children, Princess Lilibet, 5, and Prince Archie, 7, visiting Althorp, Diana's childhood home.

The family had been in the UK for Harry's visit tied to the Year-to-Go festivities ahead of the Invictus Games 2027, along with other charitable causes close to the duke's heart.

Meghan posted a glimpse of the visit in an Instagram carousel shortly afterward, including images from their time at the Spencer family's ancestral estate.

In one photo, Lilibet is seen strolling along a grassy path in a floral short-sleeve dress patterned in orange and green, her strawberry-blonde hair loose and drifting in the breeze. She carried a light pink cardigan in one hand and a woven straw-style handbag with a purple handle in the other.

Further down the path, Archie and Harry walk side by side, Archie dressed in a blue T-shirt and shorts, Harry in a dark T-shirt, shorts, and a baseball cap. Each appears to be carrying a bouquet of flowers.

The trio makes their way across a manicured lawn allée, framed by tall, neatly trimmed hedges and a canopy of leafy trees, sunlight streaking across the grass beneath a clear blue sky.

The image sparked speculation that the family may have also visited Diana's burial site, located on an island in the middle of the estate's Oval Lake. During their stay in the UK, the Sussexes were guests of Harry's uncle, Charles Spencer, at the Northamptonshire estate.

Notably, the visit gave Archie and Lilibet a chance to connect with a place deeply tied to their late grandmother, who died tragically in a car crash in Paris in 1997. While at Althorp, the family is also believed to have spent time with other members of the Spencer clan.
