Callum Turner, 36, has finally broken his silence on the James Bond rumors, sharing his thoughts on potentially stepping into one of cinema's most iconic roles. The hunt for the next 007 is well underway, and the "Eternity" star even has the blessing of a few legendary names in Hollywood.

Turner touched on the subject during a cover interview with The Hollywood Reporter. When journalist David Canfield noted that casting had officially begun for the Amazon MGM production, the actor was characteristically coy.
"I know as much as you do — really, I know as much as you do," he replied. When pressed on whether he was at least interested in the role, Turner laughed off the question entirely. "I'm not going to comment on that."

Not everyone is playing it so close to the chest. George Clooney has been vocal about who he'd like to see fill the tuxedo. "I hope Callum ends up being the next Bond. I think he would be a great Bond," the "Ocean's Eleven" star said. "He's tall and handsome and charming and British, so he's the perfect guy to do it."

Turner is far from the only name circulating. Tom Francis — the 26-year-old British actor who earned an Olivier Award for his performance opposite Nicole Scherzinger in the stage musical "Sunset Boulevard" — is said to have already auditioned. Jacob Elordi and Aaron Taylor-Johnson are also widely reported to be in contention.
As for Turner, he seems more amused by the speculation than anything else.

"I'll tell you what's so funny about the Bond thing: Even your best friends ask you, people text you that you haven't spoken to for 10 years — and you know nothing!" he said. "It's such a weird thing of something happening and nothing happening at all. I genuinely know nothing. I just find it quite amusing."

The interview also offered a rare peek into Turner's personal life — specifically, his world with newly-wed wife Dua Lipa. The couple sent the internet into a frenzy after officially tying the knot following their 2025 engagement.
The pair first exchanged vows at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London on Sunday, May 31, before celebrating in grander fashion in Sicily, with guests including Elton John, Charli XCX, and Joe Alwyn. Lipa offered fans a first glimpse of the intimate ceremony through a heartfelt Instagram post.

She carried a bouquet of white and yellow daffodils with soft peach accents, and finished the ensemble with a delicate pearl necklace. Turner, meanwhile, cut a polished figure in a navy double-breasted Ferragamo suit, paired with a matching navy shirt and tie, and gleaming black dress shoes.
When it comes to his life with Lipa, Turner was effusive. The couple clearly draws creative energy from one another. "You want to be inspired by the person you're with," he said, later adding, "Dua and I both have a pretty strong pool of art that we love and draw upon and share with each other."
As for navigating two of entertainment's most demanding careers, his approach is straightforward. "We make sure that we're together as much as possible."
