Meghan Markle Shares Rare Photo of Archie and Lilibet Visiting Princess Diana’s Childhood Home

The Duchess of Sussex offered fans an intimate look at how her family spent their summer getaway across the pond. From beach days to a poignant stop tied to Harry's late mother, the photos reveal a side of their life rarely seen in public.

Meghan Markle has pulled back the curtain on her family's recent holiday trip to the U.K.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, took to Instagram on Thursday, July 23, sharing a new photo carousel that gave followers a window into what she, Prince Harry, 41, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, got up to during their time away.

The gallery opens with a black-and-white shot capturing Meghan mid-laugh, her head tipped down onto her hand, while Harry sits beside her grinning broadly at the camera, his arm resting behind her chair.

The pair are seated at an outdoor table against a rustic stone wall, with a wine glass, plates, and cutlery visible in front of them.

The second image shows Meghan and Lilibet photographed from behind as they stroll hand-in-hand along a sandy path toward the ocean.

Meghan is dressed in a navy dress and a wide-brimmed straw hat, carrying a small white bag, while Lilibet wears a pink outfit beside her. A wooden fence runs alongside the path, with turquoise water and hazy hills stretching out beneath a clear blue sky.

"Summer Holiday ☀️," Meghan wrote.

The family clearly leaned into outdoor adventures throughout the trip.

One photo captures Harry running shirtless into the surf in black swim trunks, flanked by Archie in blue board shorts and Lilibet in a pink swimsuit, all three wading toward an incoming teal-green wave, while Meghan looks on from behind in a burgundy one-piece.

Another shows a more playful side of pool time, with Harry tossing Lilibet into the air mid-flip in a swimming pool, her arms and legs outstretched as she somersaults above the water.

One image in particular stood out: the family is believed to have visited Althorp, Princess Diana's childhood home and the Spencer family's ancestral estate.

In the photo, Lilibet walks along a grassy path wearing a floral short-sleeve dress with an orange and green print, her strawberry-blonde hair loose and blowing gently in the breeze.

She carries a light pink cardigan in one hand and a woven straw-style handbag with a purple handle in the other, paired with tan strappy sandals.

Further along the path, Archie and Harry walk side by side — Archie in a blue T-shirt and shorts, Harry in a dark T-shirt, shorts, and a baseball cap, each appearing to carry a bouquet of flowers.

The trio makes their way down a manicured lawn allée framed by tall, neatly trimmed hedges and a canopy of leafy trees, sunlight streaking across the grass beneath a clear blue sky.

The image sparked speculation that the family may have also visited Diana's burial site, located on an island in the middle of the estate's Oval Lake. During their U.K. stay, the Sussexes were guests of Harry's uncle, Charles Spencer, at the 13,000-acre Northamptonshire estate.

The visit gave Archie and Lilibet a chance to connect with a place deeply tied to their late grandmother, who died tragically in a car crash in Paris in 1997 when Harry was just 12 years old. While at Althorp, the family is also believed to have spent time with other members of the Spencer clan.

The U.K. trip marked another milestone: it was there that the Sussexes reunited with King Charles as a family for the first time in years. Harry had traveled to his home country to attend charity events close to his heart, along with the Year-to-Go countdown festivities for the Invictus Games 2027.

Following a rocky public back-and-forth between Harry and Buckingham Palace, the reunion — which was not photographed and has remained largely private — took place at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire.
