David Harbour is setting the record straight. Late last year, shortly before the season five "Stranger Things" premiere, a report surfaced claiming that Millie Bobby Brown had filed a bullying and harassment complaint against her co-star.

The Daily Mail alleged that the 22-year-old actress had submitted the claim — said to contain "pages and pages of accusations" — before production on the final season began, sparking a months-long investigation and internal inquiry.
In a new interview with Variety, Harbour described the timing of the tabloid story as "a weird thing" that "came out in a weird way."

"It's a show that went on for 10 years," he continued. "We worked together for 10 years during her formative teenage years, playing father and daughter. I don't know if people have families and friends that you spend a lot of time with for 10 years — you occasionally get in arguments, disagreements."
He acknowledged, though, that the stakes of a production this size make even minor friction harder to contain. "In families, it's OK because you're just in a disagreement and then you come back together. The problem with a billion-dollar show is that there's just hundreds of people who want to get involved."

As far as Harbour was concerned, the situation was far simpler than the headlines suggested. "It was just a simple rupture-and-repair thing that, once we cleared everybody out of the way and talked to each other, we're fine," he explained.

Brown backed up those sentiments in an email to Variety, published within the same piece. "Obviously I changed so much from Season 1 to Season 5, and David was there through all of it," she wrote. "Over time, our relationship became much more collaborative creatively."
"When you work with someone for that many years, we could really push each other emotionally in scenes. Even though the series has ended, there's still a lot of gratitude. Getting to share that experience with him for so many years is something I'll always remember and value."

Their warm dynamic was on full display at the premiere, which took place just days after the Daily Mail story broke. Far from frosty, the two greeted each other on the red carpet with open arms, embracing in front of cameras and leaving little room for doubt.

Clips of the reunion spread quickly online, and fans were more than relieved. "So so glad all those rumors are lies," one person wrote. "So poor those people who believed the rumours i knew it was not real 😭😭😭❤️ [sic]," another chimed in.
"Oh shut those rumors down," a third reacted, while a fourth declared, "WE ALL KNEW THOSE RUMORS WAS FALSE PEOPLE JUST NEED SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT 😂."

And if the red carpet moment wasn't enough to put speculation to bed, Harbour's latest comments certainly are. During his Variety interview, he let slip that he and the "Enola Holmes" star have more collaborations in the pipeline.
"Straight up, Millie and I are working on several …" he said, catching himself before revealing too much. "You'll see more of me and Millie — 10 years wasn't enough. There is a special bond there. I love her. She loves me."
By all accounts, this is one on-screen partnership that has no intention of staying on screen.
