Kai Trump, 19, posted a new reel to her Instagram on June 3, 2026, documenting a trip to the salon in real time. Comments poured in almost immediately, and they were not all about the highlights.
The reel opens with Kai sitting in the salon chair with plastic in her hair, set to the "Hannah Montana" song "You'll Always Find a Way Back Home."
Then came the reveal: she got a set of highlights just a touch lighter than what has become her darker/ashy blonde style, a subtle but noticeable shift.
It was almost like a more mature look, accompanied by the fact that her face has become more stylized as she's losing the round cheeks that people used to associate with her. So it makes sense that across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, several comparisons kept surfacing.
On Instagram, fans drew an immediate connection to a certain family member. "You look just like Ivanka! ❤️," wrote one person, while another simply echoed, "SHE LOOKS LIKE IVANKA."
A third shared the same sentiment more precisely, "Instantly Ivanka.!🔥👏" This was in reference to Kai's aunt, Ivanka Trump. But many people thought she looked more like her mom, Vanessa Trump, Donald Trump Jr.'s former wife.
