"Happy Birthday to my favorite person," she began. "You're an incredible husband, the most loving father, and the kind of friend everyone hopes to have in their life. The way you love and care for our family, and the joy you bring to Luai every day, means more than words can ever say."
"Thank you for the life we've built together, for your strength, your loyalty, and for always believing in our future," she continued. "Luai and I are so lucky to have you. I love you endlessly. Happy Birthday ❤️."

It was a rare window into Lohan's personal life. Since making her return to the spotlight, the 39-year-old has been intentional about guarding her privacy. She was first romantically linked to Shammas in 2020, and within a year, the pair were engaged.
Lohan announced the news on Instagram, showing off her large diamond ring in a series of snaps where neither she nor Shammas could contain their smiles. "My love. My life. My family. My future. @bader.shammas #love 💍 11.11.21," she wrote at the time.

In July 2022, Lohan quietly confirmed that she and Shammas had tied the knot when she referred to him as her "husband" in a since-deleted appreciation post. "🎂❤️🥰I am the luckiest woman in the world," she wrote.
"Not because I need a man, but because he found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time," she added. "I am stunned that this is my husband. My life and my everything. ❤️every woman should feel like this everyday 💖🙏."

While she kept the wedding details close to her chest, Lohan had offered a glimpse into her vision earlier that year. "I'm looking at destinations," she told host Rachel Lindsay during an interview on Extra. "I've already started talking to a friend of mine about the dress."

"But I want to do things right and I want to pace everything. But it's an exciting time. I'm very girly," she added. Lohan also teased that multiple outfit changes were on the cards, calling them "the best part."
When asked whether she envisioned herself as a "low-key" bride or a "bridezilla," Lohan was characteristically measured. "I'm more low-key. Even on my birthday, I want to make sure everyone else is good and then I can be okay. So I'll be more like that," she said.

She also revealed that the couple intended to keep their guest list intimate. "I want to keep it small and intimate and just you know, family-focused and just really beautiful," Lohan shared during a "Good Morning America" appearance.
Lohan and Shammas — who works in finance as the Assistant Vice President at Credit Suisse in Dubai, where the actress has been based for the past seven years — went on to welcome son Luai in 2023.
