Music may have taken center stage, but fashion commanded plenty of attention at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. Stars embraced everything from dramatic textures and daring cutouts to sparkling embellishments as they stepped onto the red carpet.
The MTV Video Music Awards have come and gone, but the red carpet looks the stars brought were nothing short of stunning. The annual ceremony, dubbed one of the biggest nights in music, took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 27.

Hosted by Snoop Dogg and boasting a slew of A-listers, the coveted event celebrated some of the best albums, music videos, and live performances of the year. Needless to say, the stars came out in their evening best, delivering an array of memorable ensembles.

Ciara Miller wore a distressed brown leather bra top with a pointed, wing-like underband, pairing it with low-rise leather flared pants featuring lace-up eyelet cutouts down the front of each leg and slits at the hems.
A wide black textured leather belt with an oval green buckle and leather fringe sat at her hips, adding another bold detail to the edgy ensemble. She completed the look with black open-toe platform sandals with studded soles.
Miller wore her long, wavy auburn hair with a center part, complemented by smoky eye makeup and a thin armband on her upper arm.

Olandria stunned in a brown leather mermaid gown featuring an asymmetric neckline and a single thin red strap. The figure-hugging design incorporated intricate lacing with silver grommets running down the bodice and skirt, while curved seams were outlined with red textured trim.
Rows of silver studs and cutouts further accented the waist, with small red bows adding an unexpected touch at the front hem. She styled her hair in long, voluminous curls and accessorized with chunky silver cuffs, a statement ring, and a septum piercing.

Lisa Rinna turned heads in an ivory gown with a sculpted, molded bodice shaped like a torso and featuring a plunging notch at the center. Soft, draped fabric fell off one shoulder and gathered at her hips, while a thigh-high slit and flowing train heightened the dramatic silhouette.
Rinna paired the striking design with white platform pumps featuring ankle straps. Her platinum blonde hair was styled in a tousled, spiky shag, while smoky eye makeup rounded out the look.

Tyla showed off a snakeskin two-piece consisting of a blue-gray underwire bra top with thin straps and a low-rise, knee-length pencil skirt. Smooth leather side panels framed the snakeskin center, giving the fitted skirt a contrasting finish.
The singer added a teal snakeskin choker and pointed snakeskin-print pumps, one of which featured a teal ankle strap. Her hair was braided into cornrows at the front before falling long and sleek down her back.
A belly ring and pink manicure provided the finishing touches.

Lisa made a statement in a sheer red strapless corset gown featuring a structured, boned bust and a flowing sheer skirt with tie details. She layered the daring design with an oversized red faux fur coat, complete with dramatic rounded shoulders and a sweeping train that pooled on the carpet.
Red pointed pumps continued the head-to-toe color palette. Lisa wore her hair in a sleek high ponytail wrapped in red, while her signature blunt bangs framed her face.

Teyana Taylor embraced luxury in a black sheer gown covered in intricate beaded lattice embellishments. The design featured long bell sleeves and a daring neckline that plunged to her waist, while a wide black velvet belt cinched her figure.
Velvet trim ran down the front of the gown, and dramatic black feathers adorned the collar, oversized cuffs, and hem, bringing even more texture to the elaborate ensemble.
Taylor styled her hair in two high buns with loose, curly tendrils framing her face. A bold smoky eye and glossy lips completed her glamorous appearance.
